Family and friends joined in honoring Joe Jedlovec as he received a Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam in 1967. The ceremony took place at Cantigny Park, on Saturday, May 21 during the Armed Forces Day celebration. Dona Smith, Winfield Township Clerk, read a proclamation from Gov. Pat Quinn, declaring May 21, 2011, Staff Sgt. Joseph V. Jedlovec, Jr. Day in Illinois.
